Challenges
Understanding an Unfamiliar Market
The project required developing a working understanding of a specialized service industry and its customer base. Primary research was used to move beyond assumptions and identify the recurring needs, behaviors, and barriers influencing purchasing decisions.
Turning Research Into Strategy
A large volume of qualitative and quantitative research needed to be translated into a concise strategic direction. As team lead, this also meant facilitating alignment within the team and incorporating guidance from the professor and mentor to sharpen the final recommendations before presenting to the client.
Differentiating the Service Offering
Competitive research revealed an opportunity to move beyond generic marketing services and build a more tailored offering. The resulting strategy emphasized flexible service levels, personalized support, and a clearer connection between customer needs and the services provided.
